Two early 18th Century silk embroideries, circa 1715, both with a jardiniļæ½re rested on a table top with a burst of flowers to both, 20cm x 23.5cm and 17cm x 22cm, the back of one frame with a printed advert for James Sykes, Stay-Maker, removed from Middle-Row in Holborn to the Golden-Stay and Fox in St Giles Broad-Way; Who Maketh and Selleth all sorts of Stays, Jumps and Boddice, Wholesale adn Retail, housed inside the frames two slips of paper showing figure work for materials, Mrs Rousier Bought of Peter Guerin the 14 April 1715, then with a detailed list of the material purchased with prices, (2)
