Charles II oak and Inlaid desk box with drawer, Yorkshire, circa 1660-1680.The single plank lid above a horizontal box carved with bold interlaced strap-work, centred upon an elaborate iron lock-plate with contrasting inlaid initials "M H�. Above a full width strap-work carved drawer with concealed interior locking arrangement. The interior with double compartment, one of which having a concealed wooden spring-loaded action, 67cm wide, 38cm deep, 29cm high
