Herbert George (British, exh. 1906-1939) 'A part of the Exe', signed (lower-left), watercolour, pencil inscribed verso, 18cm x 26cm George lived in Surrey but painted regularly in Cornwall, studying at Newlyn under Stanhope-Forbes and in St Ives under John Noble Barlow.
