Bishop & Miller, the region’s leading independent auction house and valuation firm, is launching its Gentleman’s Library Auction; a new specialist Sale which will take place on Thursday 5th September. This unique and specialist Sale is being launched with an exclusive Charity evening at Bishop & Miller’s salesrooms on Wednesday 4th September , 6.30pm – 9pm.
This special event will be supporting its two local charities Zest (as part of St Elizabeth’s Hospice) and AJ’s Legacy. The evening boasts a special talk from, and Q&A session with Pip Stewart, adventurer, writer and TV presenter who has travelled around the world. There’s also the chance for event guests to preview some of The Gentleman’s Library Sale items which feature a fascinating selection of ethnographical items, early photographs from around the world, maps, books as well as travel and exploration objects of interest to collectors.
Oliver Miller, managing director of Bishop & Miller, comments: “This event is a fun way to support our two chosen charities as well as introduce the public to our new specialist Sale, bringing it to life with a modern day, real-life adventurer – Pip will entertain us all with her expedition stories and the previews of The Gentleman’s Library Auction items are sure to fascinate guests.”
This is a must-attend event with all proceeds from tickets proudly going to Zest and AJ Legacy’s charities. Tickets for this event are £10 each and you will be greeted with fizz upon arrival and canapés with further drinks during the evening.
