Russell Cole

Suffolk born and raised Russell Cole has over 20 years experience working within the auction industry. His interest in antiques and auctions started early in life having worked as a porter during school holidays. After studying and achieving his degree in Fine Art Valuation in Southampton Russell moved back to Suffolk to work in a local auction house in Woodbridge. 

Russell then joined Bishop & Miller in March 2018 and is now a familiar face in our salerooms, he is one of our lead Auctioneers and Valuers. Russell is Head of our Probate Department and also looks after all our specialist Luxury Goods, Wristwatches and Silver auctions. 

Alongside his passion for Wristwatches (including his own collection) he has a keen interest is all things silver and silverware too, fascinated by the variety of styles and time periods. It is the nature of these beautiful and utilitarian objects that holds a special place, especially as they can be accurately identified by maker’s marks and down to particular years rather than purely time periods.
