Christmas comes early for Ed Sheeran fans at Bishop & Miller as Auction for Zest Hospice raises over £30,000 selling the superstar’s possessions  Bishop & Miller Auctioneers held an exclusive auction selling almost 400 items belonging to Ed Sheeran, the global superstar and musician, raising over £30,000 for St Elizabeth Hospice’s new brand Zest which supports young adults with terminal illness.  

Top lots in this special Sale included a signed Lowden guitar which sold for over £6,000 and Lot 271, a unique one of a kind Ed Sheeran signed leather bound copy of the auction catalogue which fetched over £1,700.  All items sold at this auction will include a Bishop & Miller signed certificate of authenticity for the winning bidder to keep.  Other highlights included a signed Hoax Surfboard, lot 309, which sold for over £550  to a bidder in the room (Andy Graves pictured). A ‘Divide’ onesie (lot 68) sold for over £350. Another top lot, the so-called ‘Knitted Ed” made by Angela Blay (Lot 385) old for £1,600.

The auction room was buzzing today and it was packed with dedicated Ed Sheeran fans and the online bidding was highly competitive too!”  Oliver continues: “As you can well imagine it’s possible to find Ed Sheeran fans in all four corners of the globe and today we gave everyone the opportunity to own some of his actual possessions. Some of our top bidders came from fans in the Australia, USA, Thailand, Germany, Ireland and of course all across the UK. To everyone who purchased anything in this auction you have made a real difference to young adults with terminal illness.”  Patrick Otter, retail Operations Director from St Elizabeth Hospice and Zest, said: “We’re hugely grateful for the support of Bishop & Miller in co-ordinating today’s Ed Sheeran auction and for the continued partnership with the Sheeran family. Not only has it generated much-needed funds to support our work with local young adults, but also highlights the support we provide to our patients with complex palliative care needs.”
