An autographed Lowden Guitar belonging to Ed Sheeran is to be auctioned amongst other collectibles belonging to the star at Bishop & Miller Auctioneers on Saturday 7th December to support St Elizabeth Hospice and its new initiative Zest
A special memorabilia auction selling items which belong to Ed Sheeran, the international singer and songwriter, will take place at Bishop & Miller Auctioneers in Suffolk on Saturday 7th December to help support and raise funds for St Elizabeth Hospice and its new initiative Zest, which focuses on the care and support for young adult patients.
The auction, which is supported by the Sheeran family, has an array of collectible items, most notably a signed Lowden guitar; a renowned and world-recognised guitar brand that Ed Sheeran is personally involved with due to a friendship and collaboration with George Lowden, the founder of the company. The signed instrument is valued at £3,000-£5,000.
Reflecting on Ed’s partnership and friendship, George Lowden said: ” We have been honoured over the past years that Ed has chosen to play Lowden guitars both on-stage and in the studio. We are delighted to have established a close on-going relationship which has borne fruit recently through the birth of Sheeran by Lowden.”
Other items being sold at this charity auction include a selection of ‘Sheeran’ named sports shirts and hoodies ranging from £20-£150 and an autographed Hoax Surfboard which could fetch £200-£400. There are also trainers worn by the international popstar which are going under the hammer with an estimate of £50-£70. Oliver Miller, Managing Director of Bishop & Miller, says: “Excitement is building as we’re on the countdown to our second Ed Sheeran Auction with Zest. We’re really pleased to be able to confirm we have one of Ed’s Lowden Guitars to sell which is also signed. For the second time we are offering fans of the superstar the chance to own their very own music memorabilia, and it’s great that given the variety of items available there is something for everyone and every budget. We have also usefully planned the auction in time for Christmas so we hope to help out with your festive shopping needs too!” Money raised from the auction will go directly to support hospice services, including Zest, which aims to engage younger people in the work of the hospice, and its services for young people in the region who are living with progressive and terminal illnesses. Helen Finlinson, young adult care and transition lead for St Elizabeth said: “We’re immensely grateful to have the support of Bishop & Miller and the Sheeran family with another auction. Not only will it generate much-needed funds to support our work, but also highlights the support we provide to young adults with complex palliative care needs.” Bishop & Miller is hosting a FREE Preview Party on Wednesday 4th December at its Stowmarket Salesrooms which is open to the public to view all the items on sale.
