Bishop & Miller launches its first specialist Oriental Art and Antiques Sale 5 Jul 2018 News
Bishop & Miller, the region’s leading independent Auctioneers and Valuers, is pleased to announce it will be holding its first ever specialist Oriental Art and Antiques Sale on Thursday 24th May 2018, at its site in Stowmarket, Suffolk.
This new specialist Sale is complete with over 420 Lots including some stunning and historical pieces including lot 267, which is a fine and of large proportions Edo period (1615- 1867) Ivory netsuke of Gama-Senmin. This lot is a highly sought-after and a real stand out piece with an estimate of £1,200. Amongst a host of other collectibles is lot 311, a fine Japanese Meiji period (1868 – 1912) Silver enamel “koro” (or incense burner) complete with its and cover which has an estimate of £500-700.
Oliver Miller, Managing Director of Bishop & Miller says: “We’re delighted to be offering something a little different for the Suffolk market with our new specialist Oriental Art Sale which takes place this month. Although we anticipate a lot of online bidding I am confident we will get lots of bidders in the room due to the variety of objects we have up for sale. This year Bishop & Miller held its first Music, Toy and Memorabilia Sale in March with a second Sale taking place on Saturday 10th November, and has its first Decorative Art and Design Sale in Saturday 22nd September.
