The Travel & Exploration department at Bishop & Miller is dedicated to material that captures the spirit of adventure and discovery. From the great voyages of the Age of Exploration to the golden era of global travel, we specialise in objects that document how the world was charted, recorded, and experienced.

We handle a wide range of material including early and rare travel books, exploration narratives, antique maps and atlases, maritime and polar exploration items, mountaineering archives, travel posters, journals, photographs, and Grand Tour souvenirs. We are particularly interested in British and European exploration, significant expeditions of the 18th to early 20th centuries, and well-formed private collections.

We are actively seeking consignments for upcoming sales and welcome enquiries regarding rare editions, signed or association copies, private expedition archives, cartographic works, maritime artefacts, and travel-related collections. Whether you have a single item or an entire collection, our specialists are pleased to provide confidential valuations and advise on the best route to market.
