Michael Steel MRICS, joined Bishop & Miller in 2024 as Head of our Private Clients & Valuations Department. Michael brings over 30 years of experience in the Fine Art auction business, most recently serving as Regional Director of Bonhams East Anglia.

Michael’s expertise extends far beyond leadership. He is a qualified chartered surveyor, experienced auctioneer & valuer with a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of the auction market. Michael thrives on connecting with clients and sharing his passion for art and antiques.

Michael has had the pleasure of curating and handling the sale of some exceptional works of art and esteemed private collections on the international market over the years. He and our specialist team are delighted to offer valuation advice for single items, the contents of your property or a personal collection.
