20th Century Art & Design Specialist & Music Valuer

Michael joined the team at Bishop & Miller in 2022 originally handling all of the postage and packaging for all of our auctions, as well as assisting with portering. Mikey, as he is affectionately known, has a passion for music, he studied Music Technology at the University of Newcastle and after moving back to Suffolk he spent time at the John Peel Centre booking bands and assisting with sound and lighting.

Since joining the team he has widened his knowledge of the music industry and he regularly values and catalogues a wide range of objects from the musical scene including vinyls, music memorabilia and musical instruments. He is also known for curating our Dr Atomica Journey into Cool auctions which is all about the quirky and retro pieces.

His love of everything 20th century came from his early days at Bishop & Miller, he kept seeing a number of pieces from the period coming through our doors which created a spark of interest in finding out more, since then he has researched and developed his knowledge of all things Art & Design from the 20th Century and you will regularly find him amongst some fascinating objects.
